‘Connecting with nature’ art workshop - Itinerary
10:00-10:30
Meet at Kirk Hall. Welcome tea and coffee.
Outline of the days activities and outcomes of the workshop with examples of what will be produced
10:30-11:30
Walk to Mill Bay (weather permitting)
Learn drawing techniques with different materials, using the environment and landscape.
Collect materials to work with – shells, seaweed, grasses, photographs and drawings.
11:30-12:00
Return to Kirk Hall.
Group review of what has been collected and drawn.
12:00-1:00
Introduction to printmaking – drypoint, monoprint and etching.
Demonstration to remind the group of the methods and how to combine methods.
1:00-2:00
Break for lunch.
2:00-3:00
Work on final pieces from drawings and materials gathered.
3:00-3:45
Work on a collaborative piece. This will compliment participants own work that they wish to submit as part of the Wildlife Recording Project publication.
3:45-4:00
Group summary and group feedback.
