The Stronsay Waste matters project is coming to the end of its first year with lots of obstacles and delays hindering the progress and opening of the Recycling Centre the team remain focused on the task and have worked hard to make an impact on the waste produced on the Island. This event will highlight some of the work being done with Card, glass, textiles and wood, as well as looking at other areas of the project to be pushed forward including food waste. The event will include stalls from local businesses promoting local produce, demonstrations and displays on the recycling centre and other recycling initiatives, a fully operational wormery including a make your own mini version activity and fun for the kids. There will also be a chance to sample some waste inspired food and drink. so please come along and support your Local Waste team and find out whats been going on and the plans for the future. While you're at it why not bring some recycling with you.
